Upon completion, students are eligible to earn a Limited Licensed Counselor (LLC) and the School Counselor License (SCL). Students who hold a teaching certificate are also eligible to add the School Counselor endorsement (NT) to their certificate.

Admission requirements
- Application deadline: August 1
- A master's degree in counseling from a CACREP-accredited counseling program. If you have an earned master's degree in counseling from a non-CACREP-accredited counseling program or from a counseling psychology program, you are encouraged to apply but may have to take additional coursework. Please contact the postgraduate school counseling certificate program director for an assessment of additional course requirements.
- A two-page double-spaced AP style Statement of Purpose explaining why you want to be a school counselor and how you will help young people in grades K-12
- A letter of recommendation from an employer or former counseling instructor
- Official transcripts
How much does an online postgraduate school counseling certificate cost?
